Franklin Corpening, a senior golfer from Fort Worth, Texas, earned the honor of men's athlete of the week after his performance at the National Invitational Tournament. Corpening entered the final day of action tied for the tournament lead. He finished the National Invitational Tournament with a fourth-place showing after notching a three-round six-under-par tally of 210 (69-68-73).
