For those in the know.....is that how far away we are from competing with them? Granted they have a once-in-a-generation player and women's hoops woefully lacks balance (see UConn boat racing #1 Stanford on Stanford's home floor last week), but are we really that overmatched?

From afar, it just seems like Mittie is pretty listless and is either not recruiting, not reaching his team, or both. The program was much more solid about 7-8 years ago, it seems.

Our recruiting class last year was decent, and we've got a few good girls coming in next year. It's just a young team right now.

This years freshman class was a consensus top 50 group... The 2013 class is a consensus top 30 group... If we aren't in the top half of the Big 12 by mid-season next year, I would have to think something is seriously wrong.

People don't give it credit because it's women's, but the B12 is arguably the strongest WBB conference in the country. Baylor is Baylor, A&M won their NC right before they left and KSU is strong right now too. tt and cow are down right now but both have very strong pedigrees in the sport too.

We are farther than that even; they weren't even trying. The man/woman wasn't even sweating.

This is probably the best women's BB team in history, so one can take solace in that...
