TCU 360: Horned Frogs earn All-America honors

TCU cornerback Jason Verrett, punter Ethan Perry and defensive end Devonte Fields earned All-America honors for their performances this season.
Verrett was named second-team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. Fields and Perry earned freshman All-America honors from CBSSports.com. Fields was also named the National Defensive Freshman of the Year by Scout.com.
Verrett had a Big 12 leading six interceptions and 20 defended passes. He was the only player to rank in the top 10 nationally in both categories. His six interceptions were the most in school history since Jason Goss had eight in 2002.
Fields earned the Associated Press Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors and was a unanimous selection by the conference coaches as Freshman Defensive Player of the Year. ...
