TCU 360: Baylor beats TCU "every which way but loose"

The Baylor Bears had too much power from behind the 3-point line.

After going 5-of-9 from behind the 3-point line in the first half, the Bears hit and another six in the second half. The number of 3-pointers made by Baylor in the game (19) outdid what TCU even attempted (7).

But that was the least of the Frogs’ worries in their 82-56 loss to Baylor Saturday.

“Good old fashion butt whipping,” TCU head coach Trent Johnson said. “They beat us every which way but loose.”

The Bears had four players score in double digits including guard Pierre Jackson with 20. Center Isaiah Austin chipped in 18, forward Rico Gathers had 15 and guard Gary Franklin put up 12. ...

Did anyone notice before tip the frogs took time as a team to shoot free throws, instead of taking jump shots to warm up? Not unprecedented but a good move/idea nonetheless.

Coach Christian never went 0fer, and never had these kinds of setbacks.
Judging by play this year, Christian is also in a different league as a recruiter.
It could just be me, but Coach Johnson seems too laid-back.....

(it's tough to watch this season, but as this team grows and Coach Johnson puts in his system, the results on the other side are going to be fantastic).

CJC was a bad coach and a horrendous recruiter.

CTJ was left in just as bad a shape as CJC was if not worse. 2013 team will be night and day from this team.

CJC never lost three starters for the season before conference play. Additionally, CJC went 1-15 in 2010-11, with the sole conference win against the basketball powerhouse of Wyoming.
