The money is likely out there, and in this new age where Tech can't do what they did last year, things will might tilt a little more in our favor. The question is whether or not the bridges with the money people have been permanently burned. This SMU guy can EABOD's. However, we do have a support issue IMO... Whether that was the previous NIL structure or this new one or both. Not sure. Or maybe it's that we don't have "stupid money folks" willing to spend $ without a clear ROI on 18 year olds. I mean... I think that's incredibly stupid. But I still contend that the last AD did more harm than any perceived issues that Sonny has done. ADJD setup our female sports but completely screwed our football team.
Therefore, back to the premise, we gotta figure out what level of booster $ support our big money types are willing to do.... And I think the person to ask them is GP (from some general manager perch or something)... I could be way off on that, but I think he's the bridge.
Actually, there’s mixed emotions on that over there. I will concede that because of the obvious.Ironically, SMEW still seems bitter that we snatched their coach and they couldn’t stop it.
Yet don’t score well in the red zone. Can’t close out.Oh my, yes.
We're 37th in total offense out of 136 teams. Have you seen Wisconsin play?
Part of what Tech did was use the same analytics firm that Bama uses. Bama has used that for years under scouting. (Bama’s scouting staff/resources has been the most under reported story since Saban got there.)The money is likely out there, and in this new age where Tech can't do what they did last year, things will might tilt a little more in our favor. Money, GP and a unified commitment from the university fueled our rise and made us a very respectable program for 20 or so years. As I look at it right now, it looks like two of those factors have taken a step backwards (and one of them is obviously gone altogether).
