Tailgate TV via Wi-Fi Hotspot

Does anyone have experience streaming TV at their tailgate using a Wi-Fi hotspot?

Just curious if anyone has done it and how reliable the connection is near the Carter around game time.

4 hours before kickoff streaming isn't bad, but it gets worse closer to game time.

I haven’t tried it, but I think this would be my guess as well. More people clustered in to the same area using the same cell carrier.

I've seen some guys in SE corner of Lot 3 on the grass with Apple TV hooked to Hot Spot. Picture quality was good. I asked and they said they never had any issues. I have no idea who their carrier is.

Thanks for the responses. After looking into pricing for the wifi hotspot data plans it is probably best to just go with the sure thing (dish tailgater), and not worry about possible network congestion issues.

Hotspot plans for the data required would be as much or more than the tailgater subscription.
