Support for Big 12 Bowl Games

Back in the days of the WAC, CUSA, and especially the MWC...I always rooted for our fellow conference members in non-conference games. Coming into the Big 12 I didn't know if I would be able to root for the schools I used to despise, but as the season went along I find myself liking our fellow conference members, although I still have a lukewarm feeling towards UT and to some extent Baylor. I don't know about everybody else, but I find myself rooting for every Big 12 school playing in a bowl game. I especially want OU to beat the S*** out of aggy in the Cotton Bowl.

I'm with you. It's going to be really hard to root for some of them. I've learned to hate tech, And UT even more. It'll be hard to root for them. I don't know how those SEC southern dummies do it.

In reference to the familiar chant of S-E-C...if OU beats aggy...I would love for them to chant BIG 12 for all of the obvious reasons!

Rooting for all B12 teams except Tech. I'll only root for Tech when they play the SEC mouth breather schools. Hoping OU beats Aggie by a hundred. B12 needs to win a lot of its bowl games if it wants to prove its a deep conference and not just a mediocre one with a lot of parity.

I consider rooting based on match ups. The default rule is always pull for conference, which I tend to subscribe to.

Tech? I don't like them, but I really want to say Big 12 went undefeated against Big 10 teams. Therefore, I go for them against Minnesota. UT? Tough call, but Oregon State is top tier of Pac 12. Same will Baylor over UCLA. I want to say that the middle of the pack Big 12 is better than top tier Pac 12.

I think I may have thrown-up in my mouth a little saying these things, but the rule stands. ALWAYS pulls for conference. Benefits everybody in conference in reputation, recruiting, money, etc.
