I am making a request to all fellow TCU fans/alumni...

The Air Force Academy will play Baylor in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 22 (6:30 p.m., ESPN) at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth

I ask you to support the Air Force Academy in their game against Baylor in a rather weird and fun way.

It is the Falcon's custom to throw individually wrapped slices of cheese during a game. A strange custom, I know, but who are we horned frogs to judge? Any who, I ask that you attend the game, bring a [ Finebaum ] load of individually wrapped cheese packages and hand them out to any cadets you see. Be sure to keep some for yourself and throw it on the field whenever the Falcons do anything remotely good. We Frogs can show our love to our awesome Air Force and create a pure moment in time by throwing cheese (I think this custom is growing on me already). Honestly, this will be fun and allow TCU can create a special bond with this wonder institution.

So, buy a ticket, buy a ton of cheese, and go to the game, relax, root for the Falcons, hand out your cheese to cadets, throw cheese and have fun.

Be sure to include a note on your cheese packet...something like...

TCU loves the Falcons.
Here's some cheese on us.
Beat the hell out of Baylor!

Let's do this, Frogs!

and beat the holy hell out of Michigan!

I think the non-affiliated crowd at the ACS (FW-D locals that is) will naturally be pro-Falcons.

Post-season aren't we supposed to be for our B12 compadres to W?

We want the Twelve to be a P3 conference, right? Our teams really to beat the other conferences for bragging rights.

Do we have to use our best judgement on whether something is “remotely good” before throwing the cheese, or will there be some sort of announcement?

Was I supposed to type something here?
From a purely practical standpoint, what will a zillion flat pieces of cheese-like substance do to our beautiful grass field? I mean, tortillas are (theoretically) biodegradable. Is "processed" cheese?

Have they cleaned out all the old Civil Defense shelters on campus yet? I'll bet there's still some un-expired Government cheese down in those dungeons...

Let the cadets obtain their own ammunition and proceed with their mission.

IMHO, not the sort of thing neutral game attendees ought to be asked to participate in.

(Retired AF senior officer here...have attended many AFA games (including an AF-Navy game in Annapolis) and I never saw a single slice of cheese or any other object tossed on the field by the cadets.)

Why the scheiss would we throw cheese on our own field in support of another team…especially one that used to injure our lineman on the reg back in the day? Are we sure this isn’t a Baylor prank?

Sounds like it is a prank to me. I attended an AF game this year and there was no cheese in sight.

BTW - I almost always root for our Big 12 teams in bowl games - except Baylor. I never root for them unless it directly helps TCU.
OK, sometimes I root against the Whorns and Tech in bowl games too, but not as fervently.
So, because of OUT, I also root against OU some. I don't have to worry about that this year.
But that's it - I root for other Big 12 teams in bowl games. (Unless their fans piss me off.)
