That [ Finebaum ] is crazy. Imagine how much baseball players pay in jock tax. Look at how many trips the Rangers make every year to Cali just for division games with the A's and Angel's. It's even worse for the National League teams like Colorado and Arizona. They've got multiple road trips to LA, San Francisco and San Diego every season.
lol While the tax itself cannot be fully deducted, it serves as a credit against home-state taxes to avoid double taxation.

And 20 other states. Trump lowered the SALT deduction with his tax plan awhile back so they get less of a deduction now. But they do make millions so cry me a river.

Relax. Calm down. I didnt mean to talk bad about your beloved California. If it bothers you that much, you should really go after the people in the comments on that video lol.

Sounds like I shouldn't tell the story our corporate security guy told me about what he saw a guy doing on the sidewalk in SF.

Which was a good thing because the SALT deduction is a tax shield against federal taxes. From a policy perspective, it is all fine and dandy if states want to institute state income tax, but it should not really affect federal taxes. People choose where they live, they should not be rewarded with tax benefits because they happen to live in high income tax states.

It's not really about rich athletes who make millions being overtaxed. It's about states and cities grabbing (stealing) their earnings and wasting it, or using it for fraudulent purposes.

It's hard to feel sorry for multi-million dollar athletes who are way overpaid, is my point. Believe me, I understand the concept of nexus, as I too have this issue with my business dealings. ALL states want their pound of flesh when it comes to taxes - especially sales tax for instance.

Don't we have a baseball game today? :)
