If this was posted, sorry, it must have gotten lost in the daily deluge news feed. So while watching the women's hoop team get shellacked, espn has a blurb about Stanford hiring Frank Reich as the interim head football coach. I thought it odd that they'd be hiring a coach in March. So after a little digging, looks like besides not being a good coach, 'ol Troy Taylor isn't that smart either.

Not sure why they'd hire a interim coach from outside the program for one year. Tough timing, but I would've tried to hire a long term option in an attempt to salvage the 2026 class with the understanding that he's got some runway to win. Now, their 2025 season is shot and they'll be way behind on 2026 recruiting.

Their stud DE is already in the portal and visiting Lubbock--talk about a culture change from Palo Alto
