Definitely not a good choice for us. BUT, we need to do something. A complete restructuring of CFB is coming. Something that will resemble English Premier League soccer with 2 different levels. At our current trajectory, we will not be able to recruit the talent to win. More losing seasons. Start in the lower level. Even harder to recruit. Permanently condemned to a crap level and crap team.
Spend the darn money and get a real HC and OC. Avalos' D is not the scheme. It's the talent. Spend the money on the players.
Dykes and Briles are a disaster and they are pulling us off the cliff. If ADJD won't do something, we need to cut him too.

Dykes will retire I suggest. Can not think of a big or even average program that would hire him after the seasons at TCU. He made his undeserved fortune at TCU and his body language speaks loudly of his energy and his ability to communicate his experience with football. Briles will end up in a high school head coaching job. I agree with FF 16 on Avolos. The man is busting his rear on the defensive side but the talent level is just not there. Avolos got a raw deal at Boise State and wants/deserves the opportunity to coach at a high level somewhere else. The one that needs to be dumped is the personality troubled Doniti. Continuing his employment at TCU has no value! (not even a little bit)
