Seems like a narrow analysis. The only criteria was how many times a school was ranked pre-season and ended up unranked. And yes, Texas is on the list.

On a roller.I would place their material in the bathroom instead.
I think Sporting News pick the article up from another source.Kinda surprised. Always thought Sporting News liked us.
How many former Big 12 teams ever won a CFP game?"...after reaching the national championship game."
Exactly how many teams can say they have done that since 2010? And virtually nobody predicted we would make it to the national championship game that year. Those two things alone should dismiss this claim.
Please no facts. They are way too confusing.Sure, 5 times TCU was ranked in the pre-season @ 20, 20, 13, 16, & 17. What about the three times that TCU was not ranked and finished 3, 9, & 2. To go from 20 to out is not that significant as a miss than NR to 2 or 3. The 3 times TCU was ranked wire to wire the polls were only off on average by 3 spots.
