Only team I see really testing us is Okie Lt.
barring another once-a-century rash of injuries, etc., I'd say OL and LB are only real questions.....Frogs hardly use a FB (sort of interchangeable with TEs, which should be good) and I think DE play will be as good as last year, maybe better....At the skill positions this TCU team is about as talented and deep as any team we've had. QB, RB, WR, S, CB should all be very strong. The transfers should make those positions even stronger.
The question marks with TCU all reside on some of the more line of scrimmage players. LB, DE, O-line, TE, FB. That is what will define our 2013 season.
Whew! Good to hear the backups can get some early work in against LSU next year.

Is anyone concerned with the size of the DEs on the left side (not considering the transfer that just came in, but the guys returning from last year). Maponga was 260 lb. Is there anyone even sniffing 240 on the left side right now (again, not including the transfer)?
Oklahoma's not going to test us in Norman? LSU's not showing up to Cowboys Stadium?
Thank God, I was worried.
I have always found it interesting that OL seems to be the hardest position to recruit for the less than marquee teams. Lots of teams occasionally pick up the occasional 4* or 5* skill player, but getting those highly-rated offensive lineman seems really tough.
Hopefully last year was just an aberration from the norm as far as pass blocking goes, due to inexperience. We have not had a true power running OL since the Francione days, but the pass blocking the last few years has been very good. I find it hard to believe that suddenly the talent has gotten that much worse. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. With the good pass blocking OLs we did better when we passed on first down and ran on the other downs, with finesse blocking and misdirection, and good runners. Running up the middle on third or fourth and short has been a disaster the last dozen years.
