SMU copying TCU football again. Do they ever do anything original??

Isn't the ACC going to a relegation type system to determine their divisions on an annual basis? Can you imagine letting SMU in by buying 10-years into the conference and then seeing them in the upper division over say NC or NCST? Of course, would they really relegate FSU to the lower division after their 2024 1-7 conference record had this been in place?

Formerly Houston Baptist U.
Little known fact...Colin Montgomerie played golf there for three seasons.

I have no idea how they got Montgomerie to play there. I always thought the coach must have tricked him into thinking that Houston Baptist was the same as U of H (which was the premier golf program at the time).

Let me guess, they are playing in Baton Rouge first…
I wonder what happens when LSU is supposed to play in Dallas.
LOL

In the first game of the series, LSU will host SMU at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2028. The series will conclude the following season when the Tigers travel to face the Mustangs in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2029.

According to the copy of the game contract obtained from Louisiana State University, the specific site of the game at SMU is not mentioned. SMU’s home stadium, Gerald J. Ford Stadium, has a seating capacity of 32,000. It’s possible that the game at SMU could be played at another site, namely AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Good for them. Grass is a better choice.

Did they find the hookers while they were digging up the stadium floor?

If LSU actually plays in that high school stadium replica I will be shocked. And will give them some props since we won't make a P4 OOC team to play in ours. Was Arkie the last one?
Aggie played there in Johnny's first breakout game. I went, Boulevard (tailgates) was 50/50 both fans but stadium was 90% Aggie with all their annoying fans whoopping and all that.
