...the obvious reason being TCU went full coward and would rather play Sam Houston and Arkansas State than preserve a 100+ year crosstown rivalryThey had to wait until TCU was no longer on the schedule at home for obvious reasons.
Rivalry? It hasn’t been a true rivalry in over thirty years. But ok…...the obvious reason being TCU went full coward and would rather play Sam Houston and Arkansas State than preserve a 100+ year crosstown rivalry
Nope try again. I'll give SMU some credit for what they did too......the obvious reason being TCU went full coward and would rather play Sam Houston and Arkansas State than preserve a 100+ year crosstown rivalry
This post might have played in 2018. Now? Not so much.Rivalry? It hasn’t been a true rivalry in over thirty years. But ok…
A true rivalry is two-sided. The level of “give a [ Finebaum ]” on the TCU side of things is mediocre at best. It’s just not a true rivalry. This post might have played in 2018. Now? Not so much.
What? This post might have played in 2018. Now? Not so much.
Again, this sentiment might have played in 2018. SMU has since surpassed TCU in football. I very much think folks on the TCU side will give a [Finebaum] in September.A true rivalry is two-sided. I think TCU was cowards for cancelling the series, but tap the brakes on SMU “surpassing” TCU in football.Again, this sentiment might have played in 2018. SMU has since surpassed TCU in football. I very much think folks on the TCU side will give a [Finebaum] in September.
SMU has played the portal very well over the last 2 years with their "Miami Connections" after Lashlee coaching in Coral Gables. I doubt that they hit on that many kids in the trenches/skill positions in next 2 years. They lost 6 of the front 7 on defense. Lost most of their OL and skill position players. Something has got to give.I think TCU was cowards for cancelling the series, but tap the brakes on SMU “surpassing” TCU in football.
It was nice year y’all had last year when just about everything went your way. Let’s see how the next 2-3 years go.
Each of those times they beat us in the last thirty years it seemed like a rivalry to me.Rivalry? It hasn’t been a true rivalry in over thirty years. But ok…
Things I wouldn’t trade with TCU right now:I think TCU was cowards for cancelling the series, but tap the brakes on SMU “surpassing” TCU in football.

I hope TCU and SMU can work it out. Things have changed since TCU bailed. It is just stupid that TCU/ SMU don’t play in every sport all the time. We pay these coaches millions and they want to play a bunch of cream puffs to protect themselves.Things I wouldn’t trade with TCU right now:
University leadership
Institutional support
Conference affiliation
Coaching staff
Roster
TCU has played SMU only once in mens buckets since 2018. Women only once since 2019. Explain that, not having a crosstown rival on the soft pre-conference schedule. Students no longer know it is a historic rivalry because TCU has decided to extinguish it - ignore/bury the history and lose the value of what should be a valued rivalry.I hope TCU and SMU can work it out. When does the baseball series start?I hope TCU and SMU can work it out. Things have changed since TCU bailed. It is just stupid that TCU/ SMU don’t play in every sport all the time. We pay these coaches millions and they want to play a bunch of cream puffs to protect themselves.
