In a semi-related story, did everyone hear that George Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks?


No seriously... many people close to the situation confirmed it. Now, they didn't have any solid proof, but it was more than just one person spouting something, so clearly it happened.

This is getting interesting. The calls for Mack's head have been heeded. It will happen.

I am not surprised by the rumors, only where they are coming from. Much more viable sources, but I still think it is a rumormill trying to create a story.

Concerned about the non-answers in todays presser. GP could have killed all speculation. He didn't.

Not worried about GP being a PR coach like Mack. He can create the job he wants at taxes.

Money is always an issue.

Surprising to me is how some folks at taxes are potentially setting themselves up for a PR disaster if they don't get their man, unless they know something we don't.

All I do is...

A) State what is everywhere, that GP would listen to a Texas offer more than any other.

B) Rumors coming out of Texas are that they are about to call

My only added context is that I believe that both A and B are true, but that it is a rumor so we need to wait and see.

Sorry if it hurts to think about this reality, but ignoring rumors all together is dumb... They are out there, that is happening, talking about it hurts nothing.

Basically Mackdaddy is not out but if he is forced out CGP would not take that job. He and Mackdaddy are good friends and you know he has inside info as to the crap he has to put up with. I know you need readers but Jesus Shuttlesworth?

Actually, every time there has been "smoke" around a potential GMFP hiring, it has turned out to be just a bunch of internet blowhards pretending to know something and blowing smoke up our proverbial arses

I read that Shuttlesworth thing last night. As I posted then, I'd bet real money it's a work of fiction. "Big Cigar" said exactly what a fanboy wanting to get rid of Mack would say, in exactly the way he would say it. Put more simply, that thing was made up.

GP has always said that he will "never say never" to jobs. That said he has yet to find a better job than what TCU does/can offer. UT won't cowtow to his needs like TCU has/does/will.

GP has always been consistent. He will never outright denie rumors. Why should he just so manic depressives can sleep at night. His loyalty speaks for itself. If he leaves it won't be Ut or some other Big 12 program and I would root for wherever he went. Not happening though.

I am absolutely not excited, I am sick about it actually.

And, never have we dealt with Texas potentially having an opening at the HC spot... That is the issue here. If it was any other school I wouldn't give it any credence, but I do with Texas.

Well then you don't know who wrote the original piece. Jesus Shuttlesworth wrote the talking to the Big Cigar piece that started all of this and you try to keep it going but you do not know the origins?

I wish I felt it was 1%... I don't want to put any number on it right now, it is just rumors at this point. We shall see where things are in a couple days, when you will all be calling me fools or we will all be crying together.
