Scrimmage Day?

GP has insinuated that he has not been "seeing" the rush but getting better at it. He has not been in a game for 2 years. If the coaching staff will hang with him, eventually believe he will come on with live scrimmage reps. and some real game action. Just too much talent to give up on.

this is a key point with justin that so many just don't recognize about the injury and his recovery process.

he played started one game as a senior and got hurt in that game. the injury was way beyond the simple acl injury with the dislocation and while he did make an appearance in the bowl game he really has just gotten to a point where he is able to go through all the same things as the other quarterbacks.

you can only learn so much through film and footwork drills and last fall had he been healthy he at the least would have been running scout team against the defense.

4th down hit the nail on the head and he is behind the curve on the field as well as moving in the manner of the other quarterbacks.

It will be Delton day 1. Whether he's good enough to beat good teams come week 7 remains to be seen, and if he's not, the coaches will have quite a dilemma in deciding whether or not to turn to a true freshman mid season. Worked for Clemson but we shall see.

Expect nothing from JR until we hear otherwise

JR just might need a chance. If he gets it, it’ll be up to him to capitalize.

I don't care if JR plays or not. As long as he gets a degree. He promised to play at TCU, and he hasn't quit on TCU. And TCU hasn't given up on him. Even if he doesn't win starting position, it just shows Patterson truly cares about the player off the field as much as on.

Works for more than just Clemson. With the p/am summer sessions and other 7 on 7 work, these kids come out of high school miles ahead of where fresman qbs were just 10 years ago.

The wise OC's are realzing the importance of trimming down the playbook, as these are not pros and have other things like class taking up hours ... meaning they can't study/work on the playbook so much.
