Scout: Foster Makes Dream A Reality

By Jeremy Clark

TCU added their second commitment for their 2014 recruiting class on Sunday as Keller (TX) Fossil Ridge cornerback Nick Foster committed to the Frogs at their elite junior day.

Foster joins Dallas Lincoln wide receiver Emmanuel Porter as the two commits for the class.

The Frogs have shown interest in Foster since last season after an impressive performance at a summer mini-camp. The interest increased even further last Friday as TCU head coach Gary Patterson made a visit to Fossil Ridge to invite Foster to the Frogs’ junior day.

For Foster, it was a dream come true for him on Sunday as he received the TCU offer which is why he wasted little time making a commitment. ...

FROG FACTOR!! Welcome to the Frog Family Nick!

Woot, kid from my old High School. I'm all for it.

"With the 2014 signing day over a year away, Foster is counting down the days until he signs on the dotted line to be a Frog. In the meantime, if other teams do come calling, he already has a polite way of making them aware that he’s sticking with TCU.

“I’m going to tell them I’ve already made my decision, but thank you for the offer,” Foster finished."

Boy, I really like that last line. I'm very excited about Foster, seems like a great athlete and an even better kid. Between him and Porter, I don't think we could've asked for a better start tot he 2014 class.

Braden Smith and Peyton Newell say hello.

Would love to have them aboard, too! The start to 2014 recruiting has already exceeded my expectations, though.

That is a fair statement. Getting 2 guys before NSD of the previous year is not something we have seen.

I think it just goes to show how the recruiting game is evolving.

So you are from the other side of the tracks, too?

Awesome he chose us over Tech, UT, OU!

[TronCarter]

Saw somewhere that 247 has him as a 4 star; while I don't really care (the kid can ball regardless) it is nice to see him getting that recognition.

Hes actually rated an 89 which makes him a 3 star, but that is splitting hairs. It is still nice to have a DB as fast and physical as he is committed.
