Football: Texas Tech EDGE transfer Cheta Ofili commits to TCU
The former four-star recruit will head to Fort Worth after two years in Lubbock.
Russell HodgesThe TCU Horned Frogs continue to target pass rush help through the transfer portal, gaining a commitment on Thursday from Texas Tech redshirt freshman edge rusher Cheta Ofili. A former four-star high school recruit out of Sachse, Texas, Ofili comes to Fort Worth after two seasons with the Red Raiders. The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder appreared in one game as a true freshman in 2024 and redshirted before playing 10 games in 2025. Ofili, who had two tackles and a tackle for loss this season, is TCU’s first edge rusher signed through the transfer portal.
