So let’s review:
TCU had the offer for a P4 bowl against SEC team via a conf tie locked and ready.
Donati screws it up, likely still buzzed from the usual road trip festivities, and Frogs lose out. All because Donati didn’t like the level of the cocktail parties that would happen in Memphis.
Now TCU gets a low bowl against a non P4.

I’ll be waiting for the usual Donati defenders to show up and simp away. Usually with a story how he took a call about a parking snagu and spun them into thinking a bad thing was a good thing.
I never heard that about Donati CDC yes though

The TCU football team will face Louisiana in the New Mexico Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 28, at University Stadium in Albuquerque. Kickoff is at 12:15 p.m. MST with the game televised on ESPN.

The Horned Frogs (8-4) have won three in a row and five of their last six.

TCU and the Ragin’ Cajuns (10-3) will be meeting for the first time on the gridiron.

The New Mexico Bowl marks the 36th bowl appearance in TCU's history. The Horned Frogs are 18-16-1 in those contests. Eleven of their last 12 bowl games and 13 of the past 15 have been decided by eight points or less.

Tickets for the New Mexico Bowl are available at GoFrogs.com. Purchases made through TCU are applied to accounts in TCU's Priority Points System.

scheiss JD if all these rumors are true!!!

We all hate this bowl matchup so imagine how the players feel. You have a chance at a big time matchup against an sec school and end up getting a game in the middle of nowhere against a nobody.

A few things…

Out of all of our ex MWC mates, UNM’s stadium is the absolute worst. In fact, it’s the worst place I’ve ever watched a college game. I’ve seen numerous nicer Texas HS stadiums than UNM’s. I do like and enjoy Albuquerque though.

You can bet that the players will be just as apathetic about going to NM as we are. I foresee a bunch of opt outs, meaning a bunch of down the depth chart guys will be getting some playing time. I won’t go out for this bowl game (I would have gone to Liberty, Texas, Independence bowls) and I’d imagine that many will feel the same. I’d be impressed if we get 8500 to the game.

If our ex AD did indeed turn down a Liberty Bowl invite while knowing all of the possible options then that’s an act of gross negligence of epic proportions. If I was a SC alum, I’d be very disappointed (and loud about it) if this is indeed true.

Ultimate FaFo …we F-ed around with 4 opponents despite the fact we had superior talent against all of them…now we Find out we are not the power player in the conference we think we are and get sent to one of the worst bowls on the docket. Sadly we have no on to blame but ourselves, so let’s take our medicine, hopefully get the W and start fresh for ‘25!
