A promising start to their Big 12 series opener against Arizona State wasn’t enough for the TCU Horned Frogs, who allowed 38 runs over their final two series games and conceded a pair of losses to the Sun Devils at Lupton Stadium over the weekend. Despite solid outings from Tommy LaPour and Braeden Sloan in the series opener Friday evening, TCU failed to deliver on the mound Saturday and Sunday, surrendering a combined 40 hits to the Sun Devil offense. The Horned Frogs (14-6, 1-2 Big 12) will look to regroup during their road trip this week, which begins with a nonconference matchup at Dallas Baptist on Tuesday night.

And we’ve gotta get Louie right.
To me that’s been a huge unplanned hole. Obviously injuries to Abeldt and now Parker cause struggles out of the blue that you have to find ways to fill in. But when an arm like that continues to struggle but is available it almost makes it harder, you kinda have to keep giving him shots and deal w the gas fire that might result.

(I’d put Bixby in that same category at the moment. He simply HAS to be a key arm out of that pen if we are going to make any sort of run.)
