2026 TCU Baseball Season Preview: Sawyer Strosnider, Chase Brunson anchor talented outfield group
Strosnider earned All-American honors as a freshman in 2025.

TCU outfielder Sawyer Strosnider exploded onto the scene during his freshman season. One of the top newcomers in all of college baseball, Strosnider slashed .350/.420/.650 with 13 doubles, 10 triples, 11 home runs and 51 RBIs. An All-Big 12 First Team honoree and a First-Team All-American by Perfect Game and the NCBWA, Strosnider broke the school record for triples in a season (10) and led the team in both hits (77) and RBIs (51).
Now a sophomore, Strosnider returns to lead an outfield that is loaded with talent. Chase Brunson enters his junior season having earned All-Big 12 awards in each of the last two seasons. A Second-Team All-Big 12 player in 2025, Brunson started 58 games in center field and slashed .317/.395/.554 with 13 doubles, 12 home runs and 46 RBIs. Brunson and Strosnider, who started 31 games in right field last year, will be TCU’s anchors in the outfield.
