Why are college announcers calling the red zone the "red area" and the two minute warning the "two minute timeout"?

Every game I have watched the announcers have made the point that the NCAA has requested they not use the term " two minute warning". One of them said they felt the term "warning" was too harsh. Don't know if he was kidding or not

What I've seen since posting and looking into it is that in the age of multiple screens in the stadium, it's no longer a warning... I feel like there's information missing, though...

Very few teams want to risk playing them OOC. They get a few ACC games automatically and then USC/Purdue/Army & Navy traditionally. USC will be tougher than originally but FlaSt......
