  1. If you make a first down, and commit a personal foul after the play, dead ball it should be 1-and-25, not 1-and-10. It was that way a long time ago and they changed it.
  2. I remember Miami started out with a 1st and 45 against UT in the 91 Cotton Bowl. Two PFs on the kickoff and then a false start. They got the first down in two plays.

  3. So as a team in 1991 we watched a video the NCAA made explaining new penalties and they used recent video clips as examples.

    Probably 80% of the video was of Miami players and 50% occured during the Cotton Bowl. They didn't give a darn that game. Randall Hill running out of the stadium after that TD is an all time great moment.
