TCU football has two weeks to decide whether its season-opening loss was a warning sign or simply one bad Saturday.

Head coach Sonny Dykes made it clear during TCU's bye-week press conferencethat the Horned Frogs have work to do after falling 15-10 to North Carolina in Dublin.

The loss wasn't defined by one catastrophic mistake. It was the collection of offensive inconsistency, penalties and missed opportunities that left TCU scoreless for the final three quarters.

I REALLY hope after we (hopefully) beat Grambling we don't hear - we bounced back. We won't know until we play someone harder. But you can't even assume we beat Grambling...

I think it's possible that we lose one of these next two games. I'm afraid ouar QB does not have the it factor plus I'm not sure the administration is all in on TCU football like it was with gmfp. We are pretty much being outspent by all of the blue blood programs and I doubt that will ever change.

Easier to be “all in” when others can’t come outbid you every year. Generally, I agree with you.

I've been thinking about the probability vs possibility of a loss in the next 2 weeks. Grambling Roster has some athletes/ big guys and are 2-0. Ark St hung with Memphis for 3 quarters.

I think the season for TCU ends up being better if there is a loss between now and Oct 1. If TCU wants to scrape by Grambling & Ark St and then win every other game in conf play, then it's another so so season.

If TCU plays under classmen and happens to lose one of the next 2, then it will provide the shock to the system the team needs. It also gives the youngsters valuable snaps.

Dude if we lose either of the next two games the whole staff should be fired. Come on man. The top 5 FCS teams would all beat both of the two teams we have in front of us.

Tampa Bay Rays payroll is roughly $80M compared to Yankees $340M yet Tampa Bay is up 4 games on Yankees. Spending more doesn’t always equate to being better. If you look at the Big 12 most all teams are in the Ballpark on spending except for Tech so at least in my opinion TCU should be in hunt for Big 12 year after year not middle of the pack.

MLB has a 20-round draft and teams control their players until they have six years of MLB service. Not even remotely comparable.
