Evans was a giant. What I mean is, Evans was a player, and a person that people gravitated to. Very sad hearing this news. Last I spoke to him he was in good health and as his usual, great spirits. Rest peacefully old friend.

he was a character in the strictest sense of the word. He used to go to TCU sporting events, including football games, and get in without a ticket. He'd just tell the gate person that he was a TCU Hall of Famer and that he didn't need one. Then just walk right in. I saw him do it more than once. Guy was a hoot. Was friendly to everyone and had a million stories. Sad to hear of his passing.
