I suspect we all agree there are too many bowls now, and with expanded seasons - 6 wins (already a fairly low standard) is not all that impressive to me. It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world.

Don't agree. Small time bowl games help us build our program and is a moral boost to every team involved. I also think that all programs should be allowed the extra practices.

I think the number of bowls is about right. It allows there to be more parity in a small way, since there is no draft like the NFL has. As mentioned earlier in the thread, having the extra practices really boosts young teams and the bowl is a good marketing tool for programs. Heaven knows 15 years ago when we were in that situation, we would've gladly taken a berth with the Poulan weedeaters bowl.

Come on guys, don't knock Arky. They play in the SEC, which is the baddest conference of all time. If the Hogs would have played in the Big 12, they would have gone undefeated, won the conference............and gotten drilled by Alabama in the title game.

P.S. Arky left in 92. They beat TCU in Wacker's last year thanks to a slew of TCU turnovers at ACS.
