Overall, a C. But, I would divide this into two categories with the "C" being an average of the two, because the kids did well and deserve a "B" while I feel our Coaches are borderline morons that have great difficulty getting out of their own way, and deserve a "D" for their inability to put players in position to excel until half the Season had gone by. Further, the Defense gets some slack cut to them, as they were learning a new system and didn't really come together for a while. The Offense gets no such slack, as they were dealing with essentially the same players and same system, but showed that repeated inability to adequately assess talent and suitability for various positions, and had to revamp things mid-season. While credit is due for making changes, it remains that they should have figured this out in Spring Ball, or in 2-a-days, and not six games into the Season.
Hoover is an excellent passer, with good decision-making skills and a lightning quick delivery. Knowing our Offensive Staff, I look forward to our new Triple-Option Offense next year...
