Recruits at UT game?

Jonathan gray was all everyone talked about in recruiting last year. BJ Cat III made the Texas defense look silly and pathetic! I can't wait to watch BJ and his speed the next couple years as he develops. If you look at the NFL draft look at how many players are busts. i.e., Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russel. It's hard to evaluate talent at any level. Rivals and those recruiting sites are wrong a lot of the time. It seems as the buy and sell hype and thus artificial levels of quality. The state of Texas has enough talent to go around. With a little coaching it is easy for players to develop. However, UT doesn't look like it coaches at all and that might be why their players look raw and under developed talent.

Agree. Don't think they do a very good job teaching the game. Too many propped up egos and coddled kids. The staff there has these kids thinking they're top college talent before they even lift a weight, practice, or play in a game. Why would they work really hard to improve when they are already being told they are superior?

I don't think it's the evaluating as much as coaching them up! Hate to say their quarterback coach started last year and is from Boise! :tongue:

I think it helped with kids such as Billings and Manning. Definitely helps with the younger kids in HS.

Thanks Feisty! I'm still hoping for Manning and Billings! But I think CGP, other coaches and team has shut UT up about what TCU can do in the Big 12 now! Biggest hope is it finally got through to a few we really need.

If Gray was running against UT's D instead of TCU's, he goes for 150 on Thanksgiving.

He is absolutely worth the hype.

He might be, I think that is yet to be determined. It doesn't negate the fact that he wasn't the only rb as some seemed to suggest.
