Palmer was because he got in trouble for doing the horns down sign before halftime. They came back at the beginning of the second half and had to apologize. You don't think ESPN is in favor of the horns. I felt they were pro-TCU until that happened. Very complimentary...especially David Pollock.

I think we only heard about TCU's last win in Austin was 1967 about five times. What in the world was the point? Good win, now get Oklahoma.

That was ridiculous. He made a joke based on something every other Big XII team does, and then he had to come back like a spanked puppy and apologize.

What really made me mad was Pollick's (sp?) recap at the end. Said UT is young (who wasn't in that game?) and that UT has to learn how to be more physical so they beat, and I quote, "teams like TCU."

Biggest diss I heard all night.

I didn't get any of that at all. Their Sportcenter wrapup after the game was all about how Texas needs to get tougher to play teams like TCU. But, some of you are convinced ESPN hates us even though as the most important TV partner to the Conference, they gave the go ahead to sub us for A&M in the TV contract. But, whatever.

Why would ESPN say anything against UT? They've got too much $ tied into the Whorns. You don't bite the hand that feeds you.Don't know why people on here expect to get a fair shake from UT, the refs or ESPN. Enjoy the win guys cuz this is silly. UT will always get the calls, especially in Austin. That is why this is so sweet!

Seriously? Didn't say a word about ESPN. I said Rece Davis and Jesse Palmer. And yes, it was at least 5 times they said something about the series history or our last win and I never heard them EVER say they that we have only played them once in the last 20 years or so. And that whole UT is young at the end of the game was pathetic and pretty stupid. Every class they have signed in the last 10 years is ranked in the top 10.

Was very pro Whorn, but who could blame em for the $ in the pocket. The "Beat a team like TCU" was weird. Considering how much they built up how young the team was just a few minutes earlier

Yes, seriously. I don't get how some of you guys find grievance at anything. He said at least once and maybe twice (I wasn't analyzing everything for a perceived slight) that the teams had not played often since the breakup of the SWC. They also repeatedly mentioned our big game experience and accomplishments since then.

Maybe he should have said that Texas dominated the series when TCU had an administration and AD with their heads up their butts, didn't put anything into athletics to be competitive, and hired a bunce of crappy coaches to run the football team. Obviously, they're not going to say that so they focused on the historical reference of getting a win against the biggest program in the state after the upswing of our program under Patterson that led us to Big 12 membership.

So yeah, seriously, I mean exactly what I said above.

The apology for the "Horns Down" was a new low for the 4 letter network. Did DeLoss Dodds call his network suck buddies to get that on the air?

Great win - Next up - Sooners after a tough bedlam game.

I agree. Palmer and Pollack were very complimentary the entire game. Said many times that we were more physical, which may be the highest compliment you can pay a football team.

There is no conspiracy.

I don't really notice anymore, guess I'm kind of conditioned to the pro whomever TCU is playing slant. That being said, my sister (who is a football idiot and will rarely watch a game) texted me during the game asking, quote, "Why are the announcers so biased? Did one of them go to Texas or something?" Like I said, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary except Palmer's apology for the horns down thing but I think it must be noticeable when people like my sister comment on it.
