Hope not. He has done a great job with our guys.

[TopFrog]

Never thought he would be here long anyway. Weird report.

[bscttyb]

Thanks Coach Shannon for your help this year!

[rifram09]

I'd be bummed if he left for another position coaching job. I'd understand if it was DC or head coach.

[bscttyb]

Says its been confirmed that he has accepted the LB coaching position for Arkansas. Best of Luck.

Everything you hear out there says Arky is paying stupid assistant money in hopes of someday being relevant so who knows......

[GuardianFrog]

[FeistyFrog]

it is official

[Planks]

I just don't understand. When was the last time we lost an assistant coach do to a lateral move? And what could Arkansas pay that TCU wouldn't be willing to match?

What is TCU's all time record VS Arkansas?

SEC aka the best conference in the country. Chris Ash our DC is being paid 550k. Don't know about Shannon.

who cares?

[bscttyb]

Shannon is a great coach, but they still won't be near as good as us with the Shannon hire.

try comparing TCUs success the last 10 years to Arkie, much more relevant. Also # of LBers sent to the NFL last 10 years.

When was the last time TCU even played the hogs?

[Gamecock In Texas]

Being a successful SEC position coach or Coordinator is a great resume builder for future opportunities. No one can blame him for making move to SEC. Until proven otherwise (consistently), the SEC still carries much swag with players and coaches.

Hopefully Patterson has a growing list of contacts interested in coming to TCU.

You cant compare the MWC to the SEC...sorry. I think you'll have a good shot at the big 12 next year though

[goldenfrog]

So we had him one year?
