I'm a graduating senior this year and was wondering why we don't have any kind of pre-game tradition to get the football players pumped up and student section as well. For you Old timers, forgive me for referring to you as such, did y'all use to have any pre-game rallies back in the day that we could reenact for OU?

Earlier this season, on Wednesdays, they had former players buying beers for current players while hot chicks hovered nearby. They ended that practice.

Bonfire. Let's build a bonfire. No, wait, Hex Dinner, yup that will do it, a good old fashioned BBQ Hex Dinner catered by Railhead.

I'm in. Do you think we could do a collaborative effort between KF.C and Killer Frogs or something along those lines?

Pep Rallys suck. They do nothing for the players but waste their time. There was a pep rally in Austin the night before the game minus the team. It always seems the band and cheerleaders and a few in the crowd do all the cheering!

Go sneak into an Aggie Midnight yell practice - also known as Muster - they know how to throw a pep rally. Home games it's at the stadium - they'll have 30k show up for a pep rally- just saying it's impressive! My wife is an Ag.

Remember, it's a cult. They walk around hugging strangers and saying howdy.

I've been to midnight yell a couple times and its creepy and super cultish.

TCU should sacrifice a walk-on before every game. Maybe have a portable gallows we can wheel out to midfield or something and each walk-on will have a number and then they get randomly chosen.

Prior to each home game...Friday night at 11:59PM... 50 yard line at the Carter... have some cowboys drive up a steer from the stockyards & we slaughter that bad boy right there with the band playing Darth Vader music and everyone in the crowd waiving their 3rd down sign. As soon as the steer drops to the ground, the video board reads "Welcome to Hell's Half Acre".

How about we get the Frats and Sors to fill up the local bars, drinking and college frivolity ensues, all are welcome! That would be great the night before a game!

According to wikipedia a while back, Coach Patterson and team used to draw a pentagram on the locker room floor and sacrifice a goat before each home game.

Did anyone else see that? It was on the TCU Horned Frog wikipedia page in the football section for the better part of a few months. Pretty funny.

Unfortunately, I think there's a connection. Can't have one without the other.

I assume you're talking about the standing and swaying in unison? I was really just referring to the noise and energy level. I think you can have that without being bat chit crazy... i.e. Clemson
