You make the same point over and over and over in earlier threads...and now you choose to start your own vanity thread on your pet point. I get it. Refs didn't cost us anything. This game and all others preceding it were officiated with Six-Sigma-like zero defects and any perceived errors are to be dismissed summarily since a sufficient number of fairly adjudicated plays existed to overcome said errors. Thus, a gag order must be put in place to silence discussion. I will pass along your wisdom to the Georgia fans right now who are expressing their discontent with a no-call on a blatant roughing the passer penalty that just led to an Alabama lead at the half.
FWIW -- it was a hold. No doubt about it. Had the same been called from Q1, I would be perfectly content (and the game would still be going on and perhaps only just now starting the 4th quarter). ESPN has a little different take on the field goal in their recap (saying that it appeared that the ball was inside the post). And I never thought the last pass attempt was DPI. I did however like the take-down of our receiver on the play that preceded the 35-yarder to White. The blitz was picked up and the double-move was about to work when our receiver was hauled down on the OU sideline....TB had to throw it away. Had the flag been thrown there, the commentators would have been crowing about how smart the DB was to commit the foul instead of giving up six. In the meantime, if you don't want us to type about officiating, perhaps a better solution would be for you to stop reading.
