Question about a local watering hole

Used to go there 8-10 years ago. Lots of people throwing darts back then. Pretty eclectic crowd, mixed with some 20-somethings from the neighborhood over there.

Not a bad little place, but I haven't been in there since probably 2003. Can't imagine it has changed much.

Noticed and English-style pub, Ye Olde Bull and Bush, on Montgomery.

Anybody know much about it?

The place is a literal hole in the wall; zero style points attained for zero effort made to attain style points. It's always smoky and there is no food service. All of which makes it extremely authentic. It has a great bar, is always full of characters, and is fairly reasonable on price. The proprietor is an Englishman, so it's not just some chain knock-off like the Baker St. Bar and Grill (which means you don't get the chain knock-off hot waitresses as part of the deal, if that bothers you). I love the place, though I have a hard time dragging some of friends who are less interested in hanging out in smoky dives purely for their authentic English atmosphere.

You will, however, find me in there behaving poorly for all of England's World Cup matches, which of course is all of them because they are going to win the whole thing. At which point I cannot promise anything in regards to my bahaviour.

I like it. For reference, I hate crowded 20-something meat market bars with way too much noise and way overpriced drinks.

I believe the same folks who own that also have a hand in the Falcon pub right next to Eidelweiss on the 183 traffic circle. Similar atmosphere to YOB&B except larger and quieter (and closer to my apt). Anyone in that neighborhood should give it a go. Knowing how difficult it is to keep a place in business in that area in a down economy, I worry about it sometimes.
