During a 2005 trip to the College World Series with his father, Brance Rivera sat in the stands at Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium and dreamed of one day taking the field on college baseball's biggest stage.
"It was great, sitting there with my dad watching all those great teams play," Rivera said. "I told him then that I had to get back there some day and play."
That day arrives today for the Muscatine grad. The TCU sophomore outfielder and the Horned Frogs (51-12) play in the College World Series for the first time at 1 p.m. against Florida State. ...
