colorado has the #1 rated transfer class, but that is based upon the number of transfers

when you consider they have had 29 players transfer in and 41 transfer out now sure that is positive roster math

they did sign 19 players in their recruiting class, but when you consider how many might have graduated or completed their eligibility last year plus that 41 leaving the program that has to cut into their depth

Check out the OL projected starters as of now.....

Two totally unheralded underclassmen at OC and LT and transfers from Missouri State, Kent State, and Louisiana at the other positions. And two of their projected starters at WR just entered the portal.

It might take a couple years to reload the cupboard.

Ok. Seriously... Will Deion be able to have a competitive team and make the right adjustments to win games in the 2nd half? I honestly don't think so. His strategy is to outrecruit / portal people... If that's true, then he is years away from having that kind of talent.

Some articles are saying they have ~55 scholarship players + ~25 freshman/transfers coming in over summer

If that’s true then they are screwed

Many were told to pack their bags. Most leaving are old CU players and they are losing their starting spots.

The CU team we play will be nothing like last years. All new team and coaches.

there is no doubt the colorado roster last year wasn't very athletic and devoid of talent in the lines

will be interested in how good that staff actually is as and how well they can get their roster to work together with this much transition. especially when you consider the most experienced players on the roster are 7 grad transfes and 3 seniors .

I still stick by my stance that Nicholls will be a tougher opponent than Colorado

Right now, the Deion hype train is strong. He has won a lot at a lower level. He took a job at CU where talent is scarce. He has brought in higher ranked players than CU has had in decades. This is his last chance to clean house and bring in better transfers before reality sets in. 4-5 games into the year if CU is losing, that hype train will derail. He is acting while he can.

Who knows if Deion can pull this off? No one thought Dykes would have us in the playoff year 1.

Our CU game will have a ton of eyeballs on it. I’m expecting trick plays from CU and a more explosive offense. Should be a fun game.

sounds good in theory and if they were looking to fill a few holes with players in the portal right now that is a different story, but they are team built for 7 on 7 right now and to go back fill depth in your lines with quality is a very tall order

agree with mcfroggin the real work will become after game 5 in the fall for the buffs

they have had 14-15 players transfer out prior to today

that is a great deal of roster turnover and most of those are on the defensive side of the ball

his son better be really good at quarterback
Curious as to what the cause may be for the large transfer rate considering Deon was and is highly praised. I know there are many intangibles involved for each player. Still curious.

The way it's setting up his only chance for wins are Nebraska, Colorado State, and Cal and he may lose all of them. A lot of this second group are decent players, but maybe they didn't buy in so he chased them out.

Deion doesn’t come in, evaluate the players, and then try to determine the best use of those players. He has an ego and a system.

Players need to adapt to his way quickly, or he won’t tolerate it. The culture at CU was quite different than his system. This is a massive purge and show of force. Buy in or get out.

How quickly can he create his system efficiently at this level? Who knows?

These players aren’t running because Deion is a sinking ship, at least not yet.

CU players are starting to figure out everything is backwards. The spotlights are all focused on Deion, and not the players.
It’s gonna be an interesting watch when they’re 1-4 at best thru 5 games.
