Ya a lot of is probably based on last year like TCU hype was in 2023 but they do return their QB. Schedule will be harder with The U and Clemson along with Bayluh regular season. How is SMU #2? Didn't they lose about 15 starters and almost their entire defense? Or did they just reload in the portal? And I think their schedule at least on paper seems a tad more challenging.
That would seem to me like a team that is poised for maybe a step or two back this year.
Can we save 5 hookers?Did we travel back in time to 1982??
By 1982, at least two of them were allegedly dead. Can we save 5 hookers?
No evidence of that.By 1982, at least two of them were allegedly dead.
Big unknown is the DL, which was a huge force last year and has been almost entirely replenished through the portal. Not sure if the guys coming in are as good as the guys that left; I guess we'll find out in 9 weeks or so.SMU supposedly has some talent ready and loaded. We'll see. While it takes a while to build depth that last every year to match the power conf level, it is possible to have depth that lasts 2 years early on. (See us).
As we have found out, the portal can be hit or miss...Big unknown is the DL, which was a huge force last year and has been almost entirely replenished through the portal. Not sure if the guys coming in are as good as the guys that left; I guess we'll find out in 9 weeks or so.
Agreed. Gets wayyyy overhyped because he can run. If you can bottle him up from running, he’s not a great passer. Same with the Dampier kid from New Mexico. Way too much hype around a guy who completed 55% of his passes and 12/12 TD-INT ratio in the MW.That Avery Johnson kid gets a whole lot of love relative to his production.
You can say that about their whole team. K-State was supposed to win the Big 12 last year, finished 8-4 and should have lost to KU, too. I still don't understand why it was a disaster that we lost to UH, but it was OK that UH beat KSU.That Avery Johnson kid gets a whole lot of love relative to his production.
you make a good point. You can say that about their whole team. K-State was supposed to win the Big 12 last year, finished 8-4 and should have lost to KU, too. I still don't understand why it was a disaster that we lost to UH, but it was OK that UH beat KSU.
