Possible coaches if changes are made

For those of you who don't think the offense is an issue let me just point out that the offense was responsible for 24 points last week. Those 24 points were the ones off of turnovers. Those 24 points were the difference in the final score. Our offense gifted that game to SMU.
The offense is an issue, it's just not as big an issue as is the defense. The offense needs to clean stuff up and be more consistent but they can move the ball. The defense at times looks overmatched.

Fun fact, Jim Leonhard is 5' 8" short...and played 10 seasons in the NFL.
The 10 seasons were above stellar. Hall of Fame Safety Ed Reed once said, Jim is the only one that had the ball tracking skills that I did, pro or college.

Leonhard was tied with Ed Reed upon his graduation with 21 interceptions (and 4 others). Leonhard, a walk-on at Wisconsin, was a 3-time first team all American and team MVP his sophomore year.

During his 5-year defensive coordinator tenure at Wisconsin, Leonhard landed UW in the top 5 for total defense and top 10 in scoring defense for 4 years.

don't look for any interview in the near future
Why not? He is making 1.5 million and could make 4 Mil plus where his heart and head really is-- College Football. With this AD you are probably correct. I will only ask and contractually agree to a 1.5% fee if this occurs in '25 or '26.

You don’t have to know how to build or fly a plane to be CEO of Southwest Airlines and that is how I see Dykes. Then when trouble arises can they navigate the organization out of it?

This is what happens when guys playing in a sport that generates billions of dollars in TV revenue are not paid from that revenue, but can be paid from other separate sources of money not controlled by the institution they are in reality working for, and which does control the money they have generated.

Yup, it’s a total cluster.

The offense can pass pretty well most of the time depending on how much pressure Hoover is under. The run game is terrible, and that also hurts the passing game. The offense is 50% and failing as our opponents realize how one dimensional we really are, and made worse by NO RPO.
The defense is non-existent. The DL/LBs are gashed for 6 yd runs with regularity.
The injury to Helm has quickly identified a huge depth problem in the secondary.
Not to mention our line is so bad, the secondary must come up to stop the run. Broughton is our leading tackler, and that’s not good.
We are completely exposed from the ground and air. The defense is a -0- so far.

Was I supposed to type something here?

They will roll out an Option look this week. We saw a preview during the game on Saturday...

We pass well by raw numbers taken out of context. As Melissa asked on the Frogs Insider podcast (which I'm probably not supposed to mention here because it's better than the Killer Frogs one), why should we care that you can get 20 yards whenever it doesn't matter if you can't reliably get one yard when it does?

Yes, the defense is the biggest problem right now, but the offense sucks, too. We can't run at all, and we only throw for large numbers of yards that achieve nothing.

To me, the Briles problem is more in what it reveals of Sonny’s EQ.
I am assuming by EQ, you are talking about Emotional Quotient. There are vast amounts of research on EQ, and it is a bona-fide evaluation on a person of authority's ability to judge management ability.

We'll have two choices. An unproven hotshot coordinator that will probably bail (if he is successful) as soon as possible to greener pastures in the B10 or SEC.......or a retread.

We got so spoiled with GP. He was just weird and unpolished enough to where we were able to keep him through the prime of his career. Something like that aint happening again. I think the expectations are a bit skewed because of that, it's more likely we'll just get into a pattern of coaches that "disappoint" because they aren't winning conference titles and going to the playoffs every few years and we'll be recycling coaches like Texas Tech.
