I'm not a medical professional by any means, but general anesthesia scares me. Too much can go wrong, and the consequences can be dreadful when something's wrong. No wonder good anesthesiologists are paid so much.
as well as good anesthetists?

Not to toot my wife’s horn but she had many a medical professional in Fort Worth request her significant CRNA skills for all kinds of different surgeries on their families in her 25 years at Harris Methodist. She also mentored a couple hundred or so CRNA clinical students as the Clinical Coordinator for Tex Wes CRNA program. She earned her Jan 2021 retirement to Grand Motherhood!

I hope this young mans demise was not due to a mistake made by someone working on him.
