Line: open TCU -13.5 current TCU -13.5
Series: 1-1
Last meeting: 223 CU won 45-42 at the Carter
Key injuries:
TCU: DT Ansel Din-Mbuh, WR Jordyn Bailey, CB Avery Helm, K Kyle Lemmermann (RB Kevorian Barnes and WR Eric McAlister listed as questionable though Barnes is expected to play).
CU: 2nd team DTs Anquin Barnes Jr. and Tavian Coleman listed as doubtful
In Coach Prime's debut for Colorado, they came to Amon Carter a 21-point underdog and walked away with 45-42 victory over then ranked #17 TCU. That set the tone for one miserable season for the Frogs.
This year there is not as much hype to the game, but TCU cannot let this game get away or even stay close. After blowing a 17-0 lead last week at ASU, the Frogs need to set a dominating tone and control this game. The offensive line needs to prove they can both protect Hoover and push the defense to open room for the running backs. No more talk.
Colorado (2-3 and 0-2 in B12) has a big OL averaging 6-5/332 but have given up 12 sacks so far. Kaidon Salter the starting QB takes care of the ball throwing only 1 Int so far this year and completed 67% of his passes, averaging 171 yds a game. He is a little banged up but should play.
As stated prior, this is a game TCU needs to show up big, control the lines and keep after the Buffaloes until the end. So who are your picks to click to get this done?
Offense: Hoover needs a good game after a middling to poor showing after the first quarter last week.
Defense: The defense held ASU scoring in check overall but gave up a lot of yards. We need better play from the DBs and expect to see a big game from Bud Clark
