Im sorry but we will NEVER achieve our team goals if we keep going forward with Boykin, its just not possible. You guys can excuse the fact that he is a frosh if you want but not only did he get worse as the year went on, the coaches seemed to dumb down the offense to prevent him from killing us. His sidearm throwing action alone will prevent him from ever having the completion percentage needed to keep drives going and points on the board. His decision making in the pass game is awful and worse, his decision making in the zone read and option game isnt very good either. Add the fact that he cant seem to complete a game without limping or cramping up..

No way Kenny Hill wants to go to Aggie and sit behind Manziel for 2 more year when he can walk on campus here and compete for time right away. Move Boykin to rb

I admire TB for doing what he did this year, but I agree with the OP.

With marginal QB play last night, tcu wins that game pretty comfortably.

As to hill, since it sounds like kohl is going mlb, I dont think hill is inclined to move. Could be wrong though.

In a dead period for the holidays, he can't call him but KH can call Patterson.

QB situation next year is solid with Pachall, Boykin & Matthews but definitely need another top QB in this or the next class.

Has there ever been a worse miss for this staff than offering Boykin over Manziel? We probably could have used Johnny Football last night...just sayin.

While this year has been a struggle for TB, there's no reason to think he won't improve as he gets older. He has loads of physical ability and flashed great potential this year. I'm very excited about his future. Also, if and when he does become the starter in '14 then all these freshmen and sophomores around him will be juniors and seniors so he'll have a much more reliable supporting cast.

No coach/coaching staff gets it 100% correct with recruiting. That's why Coach P calls our new recruits ever year "paper tigers".

Also, before we judge Boykin against Manziel, let's get beyond their freshman seasons. Now Boykin earning a Heisman to match Johnny Football's this season may be a bit of a reach, but let's see who contributes more over the 4 full years to their team. I don't know if Boykin will eclipse Manziel, but it may be interesting to see how close their careers resemble one another (especially with Johnny Football having a less stellar O-Line and Boykin having a much better one than he enjoyed this season).
