The PAC is being completely outmaneuvered by Gloria Navarez & the MWC.
They’ve filed a desperation lawsuit against the MW and a $10m poaching clause that the Pac already signed…..and now it looks like she’s gonna steal UTEP from the PAC too.

Would be interesting to hear Brett Yormark's honest thoughts on this.
My uninformed opinion is that BY makes sure he's in the room having conversations with prospects, so that everyone can assess what the parties bring to the table. Informed decisions get made, and sometimes those go against you. In this case, the Zags may have left some money on the table to ensure a better fit--fewer travel costs for minor sports, making sure they stay a big fish in a right-sized pond for postseason success, etc.

Absolutely not! Everyone needs to play football If the Big 12 wants to be a serious football conference. That is especially important if the Big 12 were to leave the NCAA along with all other top level football conferences. The last thing the Big 12 needs to be is a glorified Big East or CUSA.

Yes, exactly. …..but ya gotta have 8 to be legal, and at least 10 to be viable, so the PAC & MWC have to go fish for some really bad teams.
The AAC, if they can hold on to their teams, will probably be the winner.

The whole thing is desperately sad. I've said it I don't know how many times, and practically speaking one is too many because the scum bags with actual power won't let it happen, but just put the conferences back where they were in 1990. Not a single move that has happened since then has been for the best.
