Could Darwin be our poster child for "beware of the portal."

Staying put and hunkering down may have been a good strategy form him.

maybe, though way too early to tell

usc is going to hire a new head coach, would bet the offense changes, and right now on their roster after this year it projects to darwin, a kid from katy who opted out in 2020, and a walk on

they have a running back commit from newton who some say is a smaller version of darwin, but is a bit of a flake and who knows whom else until they hire their next hc

does go back to the old line the devil you know is better than the devil you don't

He left over NIL promises
Fools gold of sorts.

Yea right, all those Hollywood/Sou.Cal folk will want a Darwin replica jersey. But if he only runs at practice, he gets zero eyeballs.

Math for all those considering leaving the Frogs via the portal (especially for those NIL cravers) 1 Million fans time zero sales equals ZERO ($0). Hardly a winner - a prop bet at best, IMO.

I wouldn't mind seeing a re-shuffle akin to how the MWC was formed out of the dysfunctional WAC in 1999.

Even with the long history of the PAC, if some of those programs put that aside and decided to scrap it to discard some weaklings (Wazzu, Ore State, Cal) while some of the Big 12 did the same and melded a league of TCU, OSU, WVU, Baylor, Tech, KSU USC, UCLA, Stanford, Washington, Oregon, Utah and Cal with possibly holding their nose and taking BYU, this could be a very stable and competitive league.
