What if the pac 10 decides to go forward with the pac 14 or 16 idea to counter what the big 111111111111 minus 2 has done by staying put?
It is given they expand into the Salt Lake City market by grabbing Utah. Now they are at twelve teams and could expand into more markets by going into Texas. Would they consider TCU and Houston in getting the two biggest metro areas in the state? If they were going to take texas tech and oklahoma st., why not Houston? Evidently...academic standing means nothing in terms of TV $$$$$. If they wanted the maximum of 16 teams, would they then take BYU and also grab New Mexico (Albuquerque market) to connect all the states in the conference from Washington to Texas?
I know the argument about not wanting private church schools (TCU and BYU) in the pac 10, but an aggressive move to counter the ESPN big 111111111111 deal might be what FOX and the pac 10 might explore.
