I'm sure AustinFrog will help my memory, but in the '85-'86 years, there was a lion loose in the Park near the Zoo. Some fool "let it out to run around" and it didn't come back. The police called in a fellow with dogs to track the beast, but the dogs were never seen again, either.

A girl I was seeing at the time lamented over beers in the Pub, "Oh, this is just perfect! All year they've been telling us to be worried about a rapist. Now there's a lion on the loose that'll jump out and eat me! Where does it end?"

Funny story: I am frog by birth and aggie by degree. Long story, but I love both teams. Some of my male buddies used to prank the corps of cadets by asking to be escorted by one of them.
