In my new role, I am building a College Going Culture through several initiatives. One of those initiatives is college sports. I pick three games and the students vote on which teams we will support that weekend (women's volleyball, college football, women's soccer). I am building a college sports wall with all the posters from sports teams like the ones TCU puts out. I just assumed all athletic departments do this, but nope. I have been to Baylor, UTSA, University of North Texas, and SMU.
I walk into the ticket office and nothing, then I head over to marketing and in all locales but ours, it's a hot dang ol' mess. Disorganized, they don't have posters from this year or went all digital. I may be biased, but all my dealings with anyone from our athletic department has been beyond professional, courteous, and a genuine willingness to promote the brand.
Anyhoo, just thought I would share this thought. I think Duke has been close as they have been the only ones to send my kids a video thus far, but they don't have posters either.
