My initials and the year I graduated. Avatar is the only photo I could get to upload. No connection whatsoever. I wasn't very internet savvy back then. Still not.

I used to get online for college football news on a site called "Coaches Hotseat" or something like that. Was talking with Rufe Brewton (the member, not the coach) and he told me about KFC. He said KFC always posted lots of TCU specific news articles. I lurked for a few days and there were indeed many more frog articles in one place than I had ever seen (thanks Top). I then asked Rufe about the different posts and posters. He replied "oh that's just a bunch of ass holes who are always fighting with each other". A timeless description. I stayed for the news articles and eventually became one of the AH posters.

Mine was the name of the TCU swim coach in ‘69/‘70 when we swam in that cesspool next to Clark Hall (20 yard pool, four lanes, with a pipe exiting the pool in the middle of lane2). His name was John “Rufe” Brewton. Since he never ever spelled my name correctly in the one year that I swam for him, I have misspelled his name in his dubious honor.
I’ve often wondered about this one

When I jumped on here back in the Don Dowell golfsw days TCU was running their “your hometown team” ad campaign. I’m a local kid who grew up going to games and other stuff on campus. So that’s what I picked. Intentionally made them lower case just because I was feeling contrarian or something.
rather boring
See this goes much deeper and is more interesting than a cursory look reveals. Nice back story

As a Naval intelligence officer, my work was mostly on the analytical side. When I retired, I wanted to use more of my creative side. A friend got me hooked into quilting, which is creative, yet involves math and figuring out patterns and so on. The best of both worlds. My avatar is an appliqued horned frog from a wall hanging I made for my brother. It is crawling outside the quilt block!
Here is the whole picture:

Degenerate
Because I was a student then a police officer at TCU.

19 has a dual meaning, both as my badge number and my big brother's number from the band fraternity which then became mine. (This is completely outing myself to those that know, but who cares...)

Avatar is obviously the warfrog statue poised to attack, because as we all know they pose like panthers before leaping onto unsuspecting ants and tongue-bathing them to death.
My avatar is a selfie.
