I was always a fan. Ike & Tina were really cool!
Tina 2 in the '80s even topped THAT!
I was able to see the "TINA TURNER, THE MUSICAL" on stage at Baltimore's Hippodrome last October and was really blown away.
The lead role as Tina is so demanding that the production had two "Tina Turners" who alternated nights/performances. It felt like a "real" Tina concert in Act 2. Go if you have the chance to see it.

What a comeback and successful rebranding starting in the mid to late 80s. She was everywhere then, MTV, Hollywood, etc., and even through the 90s. Immense talent, great style, great voice, great moves…. Gone but not forgotten.
