It will go mostly unnoticed because it is the week of the masters this year but I qualified for my first web.com tour event today. It's in midland April 11-14. Fairly excited and wanted to share with those that might be interested. You can at least check in on how a fellow frog plays that week in between all the coverage of Augusta.

That's bigtime...congrats. How'd you qualify???

The North Texas PGA gets 3 spots and class A members have 3 tournaments this winter to get in. I won the qualifier today at Old American club.

My guess is Hoge, Sachek and Killeen will be in the field with a good chance for T Woolf to Monday qualify as well.

Tournament is at midland country club

Congrats. A buddy of mine asked me to volunteer for First Tee at Colonial this year.

Am I correct in assuming you played at TCU?

The First Tee is awesome. I was running one in texarkana before coming back to fort worth to Mira Vista and am the director of instruction out there.

Did not play at TCU. It's a long story and not really that great of one. Short version is I wasn't good enough but got a whole lot better after school when I met my former instructor

Btw just got a text from Johan de Beer who I help with his swing and he qualified for the European tour event this week. He has been killing it on the south African mini tours with 2 wins over the last month or so. Keep an eye out for him this week
