Serious respect for Justin Thomas. Know he ain’t playing as well as he would like (he ain’t playing bad), but how he handles himself and the respect he shows on the course is impressive.

If he sees a divot or spike mark, even if it’s not near his line, he sees to it. A lot. Know they all do it to an extent, but that upbringing under a PGA professional seems to go an extra mile.

And he's wearing purple pants for TCU today!

@Mean Purple: On TV, the rough looks like it has a lot of rye in it. Is that right?
Ok, so I was wondering the same thing. Cause it seems pretty thick and there are some wide blades, but they don’t look darker green and not really in clumps. and most of it is pointed tips and there have been some flyers out of it. Club head moves through it pretty easy. I think it’s all Bermuda. And some of it is at least 3 inches length.

It seems more lush than last year. The whole course seems greener this year. It’s starting to dry some, but it is really nice.

Its so relaxing out here.

I saw a cardinal earlier. He even seemed more red. lol.

I think the course is set up about as well as it can be. The rough around the greens is giving guys fits, which is good. And it’s nice to see guys have to deal with trees, they make a difference, and a good one.

I have to throw Hanse under the bus a bit, lol. There hasn’t been one double bogey yet on 4, 13, or 18. Pretty incredible, given one is a 240 yard par 3 and there have been almost 800 chances. And only one on 8. Some of the holes could be so much better.

I’m not gonna lie. It’s frickin hot out here. Drinking way more water than “breakfast drinks” today.

Still a lot of fun. These guys are just so damn good at golf. It is just so cool to watch.

@Wexahu and @gohornedfrogs and @JogginFrog , I’m officially on the fence about the whole bifurcation thing.

I can see where better golfers and equipment guys would be against it. The pros could drop to a 300 plus cc and still clobber me playing a 460.

Also, I think I just saw the future ex-Mrs Mean Purple.

Not putting a patio at 13 is criminal.

The Choctaw suites were great. Perfectly positioned to capture the wind. Same wind that knocks down homeruns to right at Lupton. We went to 16 for a bit and it was brutal with zero air flow.

We were at that section of patio last year on 23. I think they may have taken that part out to get more involvement at some of the other holes. And members, who we sat with, like 17 area.
